A carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who specializes in working with wood to create and repair structures, furniture and other wooden items. Carpenters know how to read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
Carpentry requires both technical and artistic skills, as well as physical stamina and dexterity. Carpenters may work in a variety of settings including construction sites, workshops and home/commercial renovation projects.
